Visit Tucson

Tucson visitors expecting to see desolate wastelands full of sand dunes are often surprised to find our desert lush and teeming with life. Everywhere you look you’ll see an amazing variety of plants and animals specially adapted to our very unique habitat. And that’s just on the desert floor. A short drive up Mt. Lemmon takes you through seven different eco-systems from a desert environment to Ponderosa Pine forests typical of Canada. In the spring, the desert becomes a spectacular carpet of color from flourishing wildflowers and blooming cactus.

There are so many fascinating things to do and see in Tucson and Southern Arizona that it can be tough to decide where to begin. Come to our Visitor Center or see the VisitTucson website for fun-filled activities categorized by special interest. Mix and match to create customized half-day or full-day tours featuring cultural heritage, nature, arts, outdoors activities and attractions.
